Peggy is our TEAM LEADER

OH so we were wondering what she has been up to.  She has sent in a proposal to Habitat to Humanity to see if they would consider her as a team leader  !  And of course they were thrilled and so happy to welcome her in.  She has been accepted and will under go training very soon.  So Peggy is starting to look at building her team up.  I wonder who will apply to join? Congratulations Peggy, you are going to be a great Leader.

We wish we could explain in words and pictures what the experience was like but it can barely touch it
We hope to return some day

We are all back home safe and sound. But we brought a bit of Africa back with us. It was an amazing experience and we hope to do it again.  We wish we could explain in words and pictures what the experience was like but it can barely touch it.  The people that we met in Africa were so gracious and thankful for what we were doing to help.  The kids stole our hearts the first day we were there. They greeted us with big smiles, they worked alongside us, the little ones took care of the tiny ones, they got so much pleasure from a soccer ball and a skipping rope. They sang as they played.  The ladies and the men at the village took such good care of us. We hope to return some day. Many thanks to teammate Thai for sharing his great photography.

3 Long Days Of Traveling, But We Made It To Zambia!

So, it has taken us 3 days of travel but we are finally here.  It has been absolutely amazing.  We are styling in a guest house that has a secret garden that is filled with exotic flowers, huge trees and bamboo shoots everywhere . A perfect spot to do yoga.  Our first day in Lusaka we drove out to a small village to visit Peg’s foster child.  They showed us their home and shared a meal with us, it was magical.

Our second day and we have gone to a local cultural center and bought some hand made local crafts.  We bought a few things including some chitangas (skirts that the ladies wear when they do their cleaning – like an apron).  Tommorow we meet our teammates.

I think it is Thurs today 2:27 in an internet cafe….this will probably cost me about 20,000 dollars in Zambia dollars! :)
